Worst target location I've been to in my entire life. Prices are on average 10-20% higher than the nearby store in East Hollywood and the staff is poorly trained. If you ever really need to get something from this specific location just order it through the app for in store pickup and you'll not only save time but also pay a much lower price. They're not allowed to match their own app/website prices in store and tell you to order everything for store pickup instead. Some items are even 35% more expensive in the store. It's a ridiculous management over there.
The one in East Hollywood (Sunset Blvd) is a 5/5 Star store but this one is close to being a scam store.
There is a sales associate at the self check-out his name is David. He always makes it a point to welcome people individually as they enter the store and thank them individually as the do their self-check out. He says things like, "when you come back, we'll be here for you," "we're always here for you,""It's good to see you again,""Did you find everything you needed today,""Can I help you with anything,""I'm here to help,""I'm here to help," Not once have I seen David be anything but extremely pleasant with customers. . .As I am writing this it seems as if it may sound too good to be true to the reader. . .please, let me assure you. . .it. is. not. David is customer service personified. . .he is more than that, even. . .David is "customer connection." I've never put together why I literally go the extra mile and go to this Target as opposed to the one that is a mile closer to my home, but now I know. Please continue to hire people like David.
I absolutely love my west Hollywood Target. I love that they have a wide variety of lingerie and panty and bra sets and also that their workers are not so aggressive and in your face every 2 seconds. The security guard is even helpful and the parking is perfect.
Damn finally got my drink, gender diverse; waited a whole year and 1hr 15mins for this drink - told me if I ordered but racially profiled me that I didn’t!!! I’m never ordering from upstairs again!!
The switch at the self check area to 10 items or less is a major downgrade. If I am willing to do the work, I should be able to purchase as many items as I need. Thanks for encouraging me to purchase fewer items and reduce my check. #TargetFail
If there was a to star rating, Target would get -5 stars from me. At 10pm closing time I was the last person in line at the cash register and I realised I grabed the wrong size dippers for my 2 month old nephew. I apologized to the cashier and let him know I'm going to get the correct size. Cashier responded
"oh no they wont let you in there, that side of the store is blocked off already " the dipper aisle is literally in line with that cash register I can see the dippers. So of course I walked over and took the ones I needed. Back at the register the cashier was still ringing up my other items and the cashier became very upset with me saying " you see no time was wasted you didn't have to wait for me, besides this is for a 2 month old baby, have some compaction. " The cashier responded " that's not my problem ". Lets put a side that the customer is always right. Have some compaction I'm not there to get shoes for myself that I can come back another day. My sister was visiting with my nephew and stayed 3 extra days then planned and ran out of diapers. Customer service school is a must for this cashier.
Being for the suburbs I love a relaxing Target shopping experience and that is not always the case when you go to a Target in the city. This Target is so clean and organized! I love this little gem in West Hollywood. I also love that it is a full Target and not a smaller one. The staff is also amazing and friendly! 10/10 would recommend.
You want to avoid this store if you might need to return items worth in total over $200. I am a run of the mill consumer, not affiliated with any business. My purchases were for personal use but some didn’t work out. The returns were valued at over $200 and the West Hollywood Target customer service dept and the store manager (Anthony) refused to process returns over their arbitrary $200 figure. This was pursuant to store “guidelines” — not black and white rules, nothing posted anywhere customers could see, but hidden behind the counter in a book of store guidelines. This particular store apparently does a lot of business with the studios and to return more than $200 worth of merchandise these hidden guidelines provide I should call Target’s studio returns dept and make an appointment for my returns. I asked if I could call and make an appointment for right then. I was told I could not. Appointments are only available 2 specific mornings a week (I believe Tuesday and Thursday) between 7-8am or 8-9am. So, as an ordinary working customer, one has to call to make an appointment during most people’s normal work hours. Since no normal customer has any reason to know these guidelines, your returns will take at least 2 trips to Target. While the manager, Anthony, had the authority to bypass these guidelines (he acknowledged this), he outright refused to do so, even though there were 3 employees in the customer service department at that moment doing absolutely nothing. While Target will gladly allow you to make purchases during any of their business hours, this store and this manager will only allow you to return merchandise valued at $200 at any time other than during very short, very inconvenient times of the week, and only if you’ve made an appointment. I highly recommend that you take your business elsewhere. I for one don’t appreciate having my time wasted by the imposition of unadvertised, unstated, “guidelines” which don’t even apply to me (not a studio employee) and which are fully waivable by a manager who actually believes in customer service — Anthony, Service and Engagement Team Lead at the West Hollywood Target Store #1884 did not feel inclined to serve a customer and was clearly enjoying the power to refuse to process my returns. I for one won’t be patronizing this store again.I suggest you avoid this store as well.
